The Farmhouse: A wonderful romantic three-bedroomed
secluded farmhouse, just across the valley from our own home. It comfortably sleeps from four to six people and an extra folding bed is available.
The sunny, south-facing traditional stone building has breathtaking views and is set in woodlands and an olive grove of some 125 olive trees.
The large, completely private garden has vine-covered areas for lounging around and and a terrace for eating outdoors. There is also a barbecue and a secret shower in the
woods.
Inside it has been beautifully hand-decorated by painter and mosaic artists Phelan & Susan Harlock-Black. It has a large, well equipped but traditional
country kitchen. The pretty sitting room has a balcony and an open fireplace for cooler weather. There are two bedrooms with double beds and one room with twin beds for a total of six guests and two
bathrooms.
There is a CD player and a washing machine. We provide wood for the kitchen range and fireplace in cooler weather. There is continuous gas-heated hot water.
There is also wood-fired central heating for colder months. The 1km long tree-lined track which leads to the house, though always passable, does get muddy after continuous rain.
The land around makes a perfect area for walking and it is only 4kms from the village of Mondaino.
Some samples from the many "thank-you" emails we've received from delighted guests:
"For us, visiting Italy for so many years, this was a spot on house! Our stay at the farmhouse in Mondaino got us back to the basics of life, after a rush full
time at work. Getting up in the morning nature was waiting to embrace us, beautiful view with hills in the background, lizards wandering around, no noise of cars or people... Throughout the day,
changing places, following the sun and shade, in the afternoon a glass of wine at the cafe in the village. In the evening, an inviting kitchen to prepare dinner, staying outdoors until too chilly,
last reading and a fairytale bedroom to fall a sleep..."

"I wanted to send you a note to say thank you. We all had the most wonderful time in Italy and a good part of that was in thanks to our wonderful home away
from home. The locale was, obviously, fabulous but it was the hospitality that both of you (and Iris!) provided that went above and beyond our holiday expectations. The garden produce,
the wine, the restaurant recommendations, the tours, were all very much appreciated. La Dolce Vita for sure."
