The Apartment: The sunny, south-facing
apartment is a conversion of old stables underneath the romantic, isolated farmhouse, home to painter and mosaic artists Phelan & Susan Harlock-Black.
French windows open on an exotic, shady private garden with unusual plants, lilypond and fountain. It has stunning views and vine-covered spaces for relaxing
and eating all'aperto. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided. There is an extra shower in the garden with a large low stone and mosaic bath which doubles up as a wonderful paddling
pool for children.
Inside it is both extremely comfortable and creatively decorated. It has a large country kitchen at one end of the spacious living area, two double bedrooms,
one with an extra single bed, and a bathroom with a beautiful mosaic shower.
It is well equipped and linen & towels are provided as is a tape/CD player. There is also a free wireless connection in the apartment if you wish to use
your laptop while you're here.
One of the enjoyable features of the apartment is the nearby presence of our farmyard animals, including sheep, exotic pigeons, chickens, rabbits and pigs -
always much appreciated by children.
It's also a wonderful place for bird-watching, including frequent visits by Golden Orioles just feet away from the apartment.
Some samples from the many "thank-you" emails we've received from delighted guests:
"A quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay in late July. We will be back.. Visiting you has been part of our family life, we have great memories of our
children, particularly when they were smaller, the visits have been part of their up-bringing."

"We have great memories of our stay at you place. My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful stay this summer at this intimate, warm, beautiful and private
place. We stayed in the beautifully decorated apartment for a few days with some wonderfully surprising elements and little places to enjoy the views. Suzie's and Phelans hospitality is so warm
and heart-full, offering vegetables from their garden and even home made wine."

"We made it back and plunged back into life, am only just coming up for air again. Just writing to say a big thank you for such a wonderful week -- as you know
we all loved it, and couldn't have imagined a better holiday. It's such a magical place thanks to your creativity, and your thoughtful kindness. The kids are still talking about you both.
And every night I have to tell a guapa and shelley story at bedtime."
