La Casetta La Casetta at San Cristoforo, a handsomely restored 18thC stone cottage set in outstanding countryside, provides an enchanting setting for a memorable holiday for up to four
people. The photo below shows the front of La Casetta.

Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms (one with a large double bed, one with twin beds) and two bathrooms (one en suite with twin bedded room). Downstairs are a sitting room and a country kitchen, both
opening on a private south-facing garden all’inglese and paved terrace with a pergola (photograph below) where you can enjoy breathtaking
views of the nearby high mountains as you sip your prosecco.
Behind the cottage stand the former presbytery and chapel (recently converted to make our second holiday rental property - see La Pieve for
details) that were once the heart of the 13thC rural parish of San Cristoforo.
The orientation of the cottage and its garden, both facing away from the chapel and the main house, assures your privacy. The photo below
shows the spectacular view from the terrace and garden.
The accommodation The kitchen of La Casetta is fully equipped with utensils and crockery,
together with a supply of basic cooking ingredients (salt, peppercorns, vinegar, chillies, etc., and fresh herbs in the garden). There is a large
fridge with a separate freezer compartment and a high-quality Smeg gas oven and hob. There are plenty of good food shops and small
supermarkets in nearby Cagli. We're also happy to provide you with any ingredients from our own kitchen - juniper berries, bicarbonate of soda,
bay leaves, cloves, etc - that you may not consider worth buying in any quantity. We can also lend you such things as cake tins, snail
dishes, chicken bricks or sweetcorn forks should you really need them. The photo below shows the kitchen.

We have avoided the temptation to pack in beds, and despite the large floor area of La Casetta (around 100 sq.mts./1,075 sq.ft.), we have
limited sleeping to the two spacious bedrooms. One has a generous double bed, while the other has two proper single beds. All the
mattresses are firm and of a high quality. Photo below shows the double-bedded room.

The beds will already be made up for you with 100% scratchy nylon sheets (just joking - the sheets are cotton...) and duvets. Each
bedroom has hanging space and a chest of drawers. Photo below shows the twin-bedded room.

The two bathrooms, both with showers, are supplied with unlimited hot water. The twin-bedded room has its bathroom en suite. Photos below show the two bathrooms.
The cottage has full gas central heating for colder months and a working fireplace in the sitting room for which we supply logs. The photo below shows view of sitting room.

La Casetta has free wireless (or wired) 2 MB broadband.
There is a washing machine and freezer in the main house which you are welcome to use whenever you want.
Electric current is 220 V/50~AC, as in the UK.
The cottage is equipped with a stereo that plays CDs and tapes; it also has an AUX IN so you can play your i-pod or other jukebox MP3 player
through it with the right cable. You are welcome to borrow CD’s from our eclectic collection. You are also welcome to borrow books from our well-stocked library.
If you are staying for more than a week, we will change your bed linen at a time which is convenient to you.
We provide outdoor table and chairs on the terrace, sun loungers and a swinging chair in the garden as well as a barbecue. Photo below
shows part of La Casetta’s own private garden.
